Palmitoleic Acid and Its Role In Human Organism

Abstract:

Kyselina palmitoolejová patří mezi mononenasycené mastné kyseliny. Vzniká desaturací kyseliny palmitové za katalýzy stearoyl- CoA desaturásou 1. V nedávné době byla označena jako lipokin, který se uvolňuje z tukové tkáně a působí na vzdálené orgány. Kyselina palmitoolejová zlepšuje metabolismus glukózy, zvyšuje citlivost na inzulín a je spojena s nižším výskytem diabetu. Má významnou úlohu v prevenci apoptózy -buněk pankreatu. Byla popsána jako mastná kyselina se silným protizánětlivým účinkem, která snižuje expresi a uvolňování prozánětlivých faktorů. Tato práce se zabývá metabolismem a funkcí kyseliny palmitoolejové při zánětu, ateroskleróze, inzulínové rezistenci a při poškození cévní stěny.

Abstract:

Palmitooleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid. It is formed by desaturation of palmit acid under stearoyl-CoA desaturases 1 catalysis. Recently it has been described as a lipokine that is released from adipose tissue and acts on distant organs. Palmitooleic acid improves glucose metabolism, increases insulin sensitivity and is associated with a lower incidence of diabetes. It has an important role in preventing the apoptosis of the pancreas's -cells. It has been described as a fatty acid with a strong anti-inflammatory effect that reduces expression and release of pro-inflammatory factors. This work deals with the metabolism and function of palmitooleic acid in inflammation, atherosclerosis, insulin resistence and damage to the vessel wall.
