The System of Declension of Nominal Word Classes in Russian and Polish Languages (comparative aspect)

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is dealing with the topic of systems' comparison of declension of the content parts of speech in Russian and Polish language. First two chapters represent the theoretical basis of the work, there are defined the basic terms such as nouns, adjectives, pronouns, numerals, and other terms related to that issue. Subsequently, grammatical categories of individual word classes are introduced. Both classical and contemporary Polish and Russian grammars were used to create a theoretical basis for the work, which form a solid basis for the whole work. The first of the practical chapters deals with the issue of declension as such. The remaining three chapters present a practical side of declension of individual nouns in both languages. Structures and systems typical for individual languages are presented and subsequently attention is paid to the comparison of similarities and differences in the given languages.

Abstract:

Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá porovnaním systémov skloňovania menných slovných druhov v ruskom a poľskom jazyku. Prvé dve kapitoly predstavujú teoretický podklad práce, sú zadefinované základné pojmy ako podstatné meno, prídavné meno, zámeno, číslovka a ďalšie termíny súvisiace s problematikou. Následne sú predstavené gramatické kategórie jednotlivých slovných druhov. Na vytvorenie teoretického podkladu práce boli použité ako klasické, tak aj súčasné poľské a ruské gramatiky, ktoré tvoria pevný základ celej práce. Prvá z kapitol praktického rázu sa venuje problematike skloňovania ako takého. Zvyšné tri kapitoly predstavujú praktickú stránku skloňovania jednotlivých menných slovných druhov v oboch jazykoch. Sú predstavené štruktúry a systémy typické pre jednotlivé jazyky a následne je pozornosť venovaná komparácii zhôd a odlišností v daných jazykoch.
