Regional Convergence of Unemployment in Visegrad Countries

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted diploma thesis: “Regional Convergence of Unemployment in Visegrad Countries” is to verify the presence of convergence process at regional labor market in Visegrad group since 2000. The first part introduces us with theoretical background of convergence including literature research. The second part presents Visegrad group and describes the development on local labor markets. In the third part we can find processed data and used methodology, which is applied in the last part – empirical part of the thesis.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce „Regionálna konvergencia nezamestnanosti v krajinách Vyšehradskej štvorky“ je overiť prítomnosť procesu regionálnej konvergencie na trhu práce krajín Vyšehradskej štvorky od roku 2000. Prvá kapitola nás zoznamuje s teoretickým zázemím konvergencie vrátane rešerše literatúry. Druhá kapitola prezentuje Vyšehradskú štvorku a popisuje vývoj na miestnom trhu práce. V tretej kapitole nájdeme spracovanie dát a použitú metodológiu, ktorá je aplikovaná v poslednej kapitole - empirickej časti práce.
