Diplomová práce se zabývá historickým vývojem a současným stavem cukrovarnictví v České republice. Nejprve je charakterizována cukrová řepa, následně jsou analyzovány přírodní předpoklady pro její pěstování a vymezeny zemědělské výrobní oblasti, a to především ty řepařské. The thesis deal with the historical development and current state of the sugar industry in the Czech Republic. At the beginning there is a characteristics of the sugar beet, followed by analysis of the natural conditions for its cultivation and defining the agricultural production areas, especially beet growing areas.
