Education of police officers in crisis intervention systems

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá systémem krizové intervence v rámci Policie ČR, který byl zřízen za účelem první psychologické pomoci poskytované policisty či policistkami, a to obětem trestné činnosti či mimořádných událostí. Cílem práce bylo pojednat o tomto systému a dále koncipovat učební pomůcky za účelem rozšíření znalostí např. studentů Základní odborné přípravy Policie ČR, nebo i studentů středních policejních škol či déle sloužících policistů, kteří chtějí rozvíjet své znalosti této problematiky. Bylo provedeno testování kontrolní skupiny studentů Základní odborné přípravy formou pretestu a následně bylo provedeno zprostředkování takových znalostí formou přednášky a učebních pomůcek. Testování formou posttestu následně odhalilo, že existují statisticky významné párové rozdíly mezi body dosaženými v pretestu a posttestu. Formou evaluačního dotazníku a statistických metod bylo dále zjištěno, že vzdělávací příručka pro policisty v oblasti krizové intervence je vzhledem ke kvalitě a hodnocení přínosná, názorná a v daném oboru použitelná.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the system of crisis intervention within the Police of the Czech Republic, which was established for the purpose of first psychological assistance provided by police officers to victims of crime or emergencies. The aim of the thesis was to discuss this system and to design teaching aids in order to expand the knowledge of, for example, students of the Basic vocational training of the Police of the Czech Republic, or students of secondary police schools or longer serving police officers who want to develop their knowledge of this issue. A control group of basic training students was tested in the form of a pretest and then such knowledge was conveyed in the form of a lecture and teaching aids. Post-testing subsequently revealed that there were statistically significant pairwise differences between the pretest and post-test scores. Further, through the form of an evaluation questionnaire and statistical methods, it was found that the training manual for police officers in the field of crisis intervention is useful, illustrative and applicable in the field due to its quality and evaluation.
