Bakalářská práce vymezuje pojmy jako je sociální služba, terénní sociální práce, terénní sociální pracovník. Sociální služby jsou ukotveny platnou legislativou, práce se zabývá rodinami s dětmi. The thesis defines such terms as the social services that are anchored by valid legislation, the social field work and the social field worker. Firstly, the thesis is concerned with families with children. The second part is concentrated on a civic society the Fund for Children in Need (FOD) and its branch in Zábřeh.
