Urban Language of Zagreb’s inhabitants

Abstract:

Tato závěrečná práce prezentuje jazykovou situaci obyvatel Záhřebu. Cílem práce bylo zachytit městskou mluvu Záhřebu a popsat, které jazykové jevy se u respondentů vyskytují a do v jaké míře. Soustřeďuje se na hláskoslovné, tvaroslovné a lexikální jevy, přičemž zvláštní důraz je kladen na znaky kajkavských nářečí. Pro práci byl stěžejní vlastní terénní výzkum, při kterém byly zachyceny spontánní promluvy šestnácti respondentů, čtyř věkových skupin. Největší část práce se věnuje analýze promluv a výsledkům výzkumu. Konstatuje stav v jednotlivých jazykových rovinách a komparuje výsledky čtyř věkových kategorií.

Abstract:

This thesis presents language situation of Zagreb’s inhabitants. The aim of the work was to capture the urban language of Zagreb and describe which language phenomena occur in speeches of respondents and how often. Paper focuses on phonological, morphological and lexical phenomena, with special emphasis on the features of kajkavavian dialects.The thesis is based on dialect research in which was captured the spontaneous speeches of sixteen respondents, devided into four age groups. The main part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of excerpted material and results of dialect research. It states situation on phonological, morphological and lexical level of language and compares the results of four age categories.
