The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of marriage and infidelity described in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. It examines examples of relationships between men and women from the gender perspective. The paper commences with a brief description of the medieval English society in Chaucer’s time, the role, status and equality of men and women.
