Fictional narrative and its didactic application in high school history teaching.

Abstract:

Studie teoreticky vymezuje fenomén fikčního narativu a jeho uplatnění v hodinách dějepisu na středních školách. Všímá si zejména zařazení ukázek beletrie do vyučovací hodiny a konfrontování tohoto materiálu s jinými typy textů. Cílem těchto aktivit je podnítit kritické a vícevrstvé uvažování studenta nad historickou skutečností. Studie prokázala, že nevhodnější formou práce s těmito texty je jejich komparace s ikonickým textem a odbornou literaturou. Text vychází z teorie možných světů a mezerovitosti těchto světů v narativech odlišné povahy. Jejich "zaplňování" je metodou, která formuje historické vědomí studentů, tvoří jejich hodnotové a obecně morální postoje. Práce definuje kritéria výběru textu a poukazuje na vhodné postupy při práci s konkrétní ukázkou. U tří modelových témat navrhuje autor konkrétní didaktické aktivity a formuluje otázky k dané problematice.

Abstract:

The study theoretically defines the phenomenon of fictional narrative and its application in history lessons at secondary schools. The text describes the inclusion of examples of fiction in the lessons and the confrontation of this material with other types of narratives. The goal of these activities is to stimulate the student's critical and multi-layered thinking about historical reality. The study proved that a more inappropriate form of working with these texts is their comparison with iconic texts and nonfictional historical literature. The text comes from an idea of the theory of possible worlds and the gap between these worlds in narratives of a different kinds. The "filling in" of this gaps is a method that shapes students' historical consciousness, forms their value and generally moral attitudes. The thesis defines the criteria for text selection and points out appropriate procedures when working with a specific example. For three model topics, the author proposes specific didactic activities and formulates questions on the given issue.
