Lower secondary school pupils’ awareness of cyberbullying and other forms of cyber aggression directed against the teachers

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kyberšikany z jiného pohledu, než je běžné. Kyberšikana učitelů je bagatelizované téma, ačkoliv s rychlým vývojem komunikačních technologií je spjat i větší výskyt případů jednorázových či opakovaných kybernetických útoků na učitele. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na kybernetickou agresi páchanou na učitelích z pohledu žáků – jak oni sami chápou pojem kyberšikana, jestli vědí, jak se projevuje a zda se s ní již setkali. K tomu byl využit kvantitativní výzkum mezi žáky 7., 8. a 9. tříd brněnské základní školy a kvalitativní výzkum v podobě polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s pedagogem dané školy. Výsledky výzkumu následně byly využity k vypracování přípravy preventivního projektu, který se zaměřuje na rozšíření povědomí žáků o kyberšikaně učitelů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of cyberbullying from a different perspective than usual. Cyberbullying of teachers is a trivialized topic, although with the rapid development of communication technologies, there is an increased occurrence of one-time or repeated cyber-attacks on teachers. The thesis focuses on cyber aggression against teachers from the students' perspective—how they themselves understand the concept of cyberbullying, whether they know how it manifests, and whether they have encountered it. Quantitative research was conduct-ed among students in the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades of a primary school in Brno, and qualitative research took the form of a semi-structured interview with a teacher from the same school. The research results were then used to develop a project proposal aimed at raising awareness among students about cyberbullying of teachers.
