Partisan activities in the Frýdlant nad Ostravicí region and their impact on the local civilian population

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá partyzánským hnutím na Frýdlantsku a dopadem tohoto hnutí na tamní civilní obyvatelstvo. Část práce je věnována odbojovým a partyzánským skupinám, které se na daném území pohybovaly v průběhu druhé světové války, a to především na podzim roku 1944. Těžiště práce se nachází v kapitole, která je věnována represím vykonaným na místním obyvatelstvu, které nějakým způsobem poskytlo pomoc partyzánům. Cílem je nejen přiblížit méně známé události z daného období, ale především kriticky zhodnotit partyzánské hnutí na Frýdlantsku v Moravskoslezských Beskydech a jeho dopad na místní obyvatelstvo. Dalším z cílů práce je zjistit povědomí o partyzánském hnutí na Frýdlantsku u současných obyvatel tamních obcí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the guerrilla movement in the region of Frýdlant and with the impact of this movement on the local civilian population. A part of this thesis is devoted to the resistance and guerilla groups associated with this area during the Second World War, specifically in autumn of 1944. The main focus of this thesis is included in a chapter devoted to the repression carried out on the local population, which offered help to the guerrillas. The aim is to not only draw the attention to the less known events from this particular period, but mainly critically evaluate the guerrilla movement in the Frýdlant nad Ostravicí region in the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains and its impact on the local population.One of the other aims of this bachelor´s thesis is to raise awareness of the partisant movement around Frýdlant nad Ostravicí among present residents of this area.
