Organizational structure as a factor of competitiveness

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou organizačních struktur podniků, jejich charakteristikou, nastavením a následným vlivem na konkurenceschopnost. Hypotézy stanovené v praktické části práce byly ověřeny výzkumem na konkrétním, reálném podniku působícím na poli telekomunikačních služeb. Hypotézy se především zabývají mírou centralizace v rozhodování, jejíž správné nastavení může hrát významnou roli v konkurenčním prostředí. Uvedené praktické poznatky stojí na teoretických znalostech získaných četbou odborné literatury k této tématice, jež jsou obsaženy v teoretické části práce. Cílem práce je tedy především zjistit současný stav míry centralizace ve vybraném podniku, porovnání s odbornými zdroji, informování vedení společnosti o zjištěných skutečnostech a navržení případných změn, které by měly vést k posílení konkurenceschopnosti do budoucna.

Abstract:

This Diploma Thesis deals with an issue of organizational structures of companies, their characteristics, adjustments and consequent impacts on competitiveness. The hypotheses found within the practical part of the Thesis have been verified through a research of a real-time, current organization operating in the field of telecommunication services. The hypotheses are mainly focused on the level of centralization in decision making, whose precise adjustment may play a significant role in the competition environment. These practical points are based on theoretical knowledge acquired through reading topic-based academic literature, included in the theoretical part of the Thesis. The aim of the Thesis is to detect a current state of a centralization level in the given organization, while comparing this with scientific sources, to inform the organization management about the discovered facts and suggest possible changes that can lead to strengthening competitiveness in future.
