Role of rating agencies in the current financial world

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je vymezení role ratingových agentur v současném finančním světě. V první části práce je charakterizován rating, jeho charakteristika, tvorba ratingu, metody podobné ratingu, se kterými se rating zaměňuje a také využití ratingu v praxi. Druhá část je zaměřena na ratingové agentury, kde jsou popsány 3 světově nejznámější a dále také menší lokální ratingové agentury a je zde rozepsáno i jejich rozdělení. V poslední části práce je popsaná současná pozice ratingových agentur, jejich podíl na finanční krizi a návrhy řešení, aby se předešlo opakování chyb ratingových agentur.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is to define the role of credit rating agencies in the current financial world. The first part is characterized by rating its characteristics, formation rating methods similar rating, the rating of which is confusing and the use of ratings in practice. The second part focuses on credit rating agencies, which are described in three world-famous, and also smaller local rating agencies and is broken down and their distribution. The last part describes the current position of credit rating agencies, their share of the financial crisis and propose solutions to avoid repeating the mistakes of credit rating agencies.
