The freedom of movement of goods is one of the four fundamental freedoms guaranteed by the EU. Because of its legal regulation, its economic aspect is often ignored. In this bachelor thesis, the focus will be on the economic aspect by analysing the economic theories that dominate the period and by comparing them. Sloboda pohybu tovaru je jednou zo štyroch základných slobôd garantovaných EÚ. Nakoľko je právne regulovaná, jej ekonomický aspekt býva častokrát opomenutý. Táto bakalárska práca sa práve naň zameria, pomocou analýzy ekonomických teórii dominantných v danom období, ich vzájomnou komparáciou a následnou analógiou výstupov u konkrétnych historických súvislosti.
