Myocardial infarction - the risk of working age

Abstract:

Cílem teoretické části diplomové práce je podat souhrnné informace o problematice akutního infarktu myokardu, rizikových faktorů kardiovaskulárních onemocnění a sekundární prevenci. V praktické části je sledována informovanost pacientů o rizikových faktorech kardiovaskulárních onemocnění a jejich výskyt u pacientů v produktivním věku hospitalizovaných na Koronární JIP Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava po dobu jednoho roku. U respondentů je sledována úprava rizikových faktorů 3 a 6 měsíců po hospitalizaci. Byl vytvořen souhrnný edukační materiál dle nejnovějších doporučení Evropské kardiologické společnosti - European society of cardiology Guidelines on cardiovascular disease prevention in clinical practice. Tento materiál slouží k edukaci o rizikových faktorech kardiovaskulárních nemocí pacientům Kardiovaskulárního oddělení. Jelikož velkou část nemocných tvoří lidé v produktivním věku, stává se edukace důležitou složkou péče o tyto pacienty. Informace, které jsou podány v brzké době po akutním onemocnění, vedou k větší snaze pacientů o změnu životního stylu a úpravě rizikových faktorů. Pro zdůraznění významu některých rizikových faktorů pacientů s infarktem myokardu jsou v edukačním materiálu použity konkrétní data pacientů hospitalizovaných na Koronární JIP FN Ostrava.

Abstract:

General information about acute myocardial infarction and its risk factors is desribed in the first/theoretical part of the thesis. The pracical part aims to study the overall magnitude of cardiovascular risk factors in acuty myocardial infarction in "working age" patients hospitalized at Coronary care unit of University Hospital Ostrava for one year. The main study point is to study the development of risk factors and risk factor awareness at 3 and 6 months after in-patient treatment. For that purpose we arranged educational materials based on newest ESC guidelines for cardiovascular disease prevention. Given that not negligible amount of patients treated for acute MI are in working age, becomes this educational material of particular importance and benefit especially in this patient group. The earlier are patients provided with informations about their cardiovascular risk factors, the greater is the impact in terms of lifestyle changes and attempt to reduce the risk factors. To emphasize the imporatance of some of the risk factor were used particular data from our own experience described in the practical part of the thesis.
