Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je prozkoumání prezentace Mistrovství světa ve fotbale 2018 ve vybraném serveru k potenciálnímu propojení sportovní mega-akce a politických zájmů jak pořadatelské země, tak ostatních zemí. V této práci prozkoumáme články amerického portálu Reuters od roku 2017 až po skončení šampionátu. Zjistíme z nich některé reakce světových politiků a funkcionářů FIFA na negativní témata kandidatury, dopingu a využití stadionů po skončení šampionátu. V této práci je shrnuto několik článků o tom, že ačkoliv se prokázalo u několika členů výboru FIFA braní úplatků, nijak to neohrozilo konání mistrovství světa v Rusku 2018. Dopingové aféry Ruska neměly vliv na pořádané mistrovství světa. V průběhu šampionátu bylo provedeno více než 3000 antidopingových testů a všechny byly negativní. Rusko pak v několika letech po ukončení šampionátu bude podporovat provoz stadionů a chce, aby stadiony nechátraly a byly schopny provozu za účelem převážně fotbalových utkání. Po skončení šampionátu se světoví funkcionáři, politici i reportéři shodují, že to byl pravděpodobně nejlépe doposud uspořádaný šampionát.

Abstract:

The objective of the Bachelor Thesis is examination of the FIFA World Cup 2018 in the selected server for potential connection of a grand sports action and political interests of the organizing country, as well as other countries. In this work, we will examine the articles of the american portal Reuters from the year of 2017 until the championship's end. From them, we will find out some of the reactions of world's politics and FIFA officials to the negative topics of candidacy, doping and use of stadiums after the championship's end. In this work, there are several articles summed up, dealing with the fact that even though in case of a lot of members of the committee, taking bribes was proven, it didn't affect the holding of FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia in any way. Doping affairs of Russia didn't have an effect on the organized World Cup. During the championship, more than 3,000 anti-doping tests were executed and all of them were negative. Russia then, after several years following the championship's end, will support the operation of stadiums and wants the stadiums not to dilapidate and to be able to function primarily for the purpose of football matches. After the championship's end, world officials, politicians and reporters agree that it was probably the best organized championship so far.
