Building a mental scheme of the parallelogram in primary school teaching

Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Budování mentálního schématu rovnoběžníku ve výuce 1. stupně ZŠ" se věnuje tvorbě mentálního schématu rovnoběžníku od počátku až do 5. ročníku ZŠ a identifikaci jeho kritických míst. Teoretická část se zabývá pojmy mentální schéma a rovnoběžník, které s tématem diplomové práce souvisí a jsou pro ni podstatné, seznamuje také s prostředími, které jsou pro tvorbu schématu rovnoběžníku důležité. Stručně je zde popsána Hejného metoda, učivo geometrie na 1. stupni ZŠ, do kterého rovnoběžník spadá a didaktika rovnoběžníku. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou učebnic, ilustrací budování mentálního schématu rovnoběžníku a hledáním jeho kritických míst prostřednictvím dotazníků vyplněných učiteli 1. stupně ZŠ, monitorování výuky a testování žáků.

Abstract:

This thesis "Building Mental Schema of Parallelogram in Primary School Teaching" deals with the creating of a mental scheme of the parallelogram from the beginning to the 5th year of elementary school and the identification of its critical points. The theoretical part deals with the concepts of mental scheme and parallelogram, which are related to the topic of the thesis and are essential for it, it also introduces the environments that are important for creating a scheme of parallelogram. Hejný's method, the subject of geometry at the lower grade of primary school, to which the parallelogram belongs, and the didactics of the parallelogram at the lower grade of primary school, are briefly described here. The practical part deals with the analysis of textbooks, illustrations of building a mental scheme of the parallelogram and finding its critical points through questionnaires filled out by primary school teachers, monitoring teaching and testing students/pupils.
