Abstract:

Cílem této práce je popsat jednotlivá válečná tažení Aššurnasirpala II. (883-859 př. Kr.) a jeho syna Salmanassara III. (859-826 př. Kr.), podobu asyrské armády a propagandy za jejich vlády. Dalším záměrem je uvést také základní informace o Kalhu,jež se díky Aššurnasirpalovi stalo novým hlavním městem Asýrie,a ve kterém jeho syn Salmanassar nechal postavit důležitou vojenskou budovu - ekal mašarti …more

Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to describe the military campaign of Ashurnasirpal II (883-859 BC) and his son Shalmaneser III (859-826 BC), the form of the Assyrian army and propaganda for the government. The basic information about Kalhu, that became the new capital of Assyria thanks to Ashurnasirpal and in which his son Shalmaneser built important military building - Ekal mašarti, is also outlined.
