Mandatory information displayed on the clothing product and its comprehensibility for consumers

Abstract:

Rešeršní část této práce se zabývá významem a funkcí informačních etiket na oděvních výrobcích a legislativním rámcem této problematiky se zaměřením na značení materiálového složení a způsobu údržby. Je zde uveden stručný přehled nejpoužívanějších textilních vláken pro výrobu oděvů, dále je představen systém symbolů pro údržbu oděvů, asociace Ginetex a některé závěry již proběhlých průzkumů v dané oblasti. V praktické části je realizováno dotazníkové šetření za účelem zjištění nákupního chování spotřebitelů, jejich vztahu k informačním etiketám a srozumitelnosti informací na nich uvedených. Sesbíraná data jsou vyhodnocena, částečně porovnána s již proběhlými průzkumy a jsou vyvozeny vlastní závěry. Na základě vyhodnocení informací je vytvořen návrh edukačního materiálu pro spotřebitele pro zlepšení jejich povědomí o významu a funkci informačních etiket.

Abstract:

The research part of this work deals with the meaning and function of information labels on clothing products and the legislative framework of this issue with a focus on marking the material composition and maintenance method. Here is a brief overview of the most used textile fibers for the production of clothes, the system of symbols for the maintenance of clothes, the Ginetex association and some conclusions of already carried out surveys in the given area are also presented. In the practical part, a questionnaire survey is carried out in order to determine the purchasing behavior of consumers, their relationship to information labels and the comprehensibility of the information provided on them. The collected data are evaluated, partially compared with surveys that have already taken place, and own conclusions are drawn. Based on the evaluation of the information, a draft of educational material for consumers is created to improve their awareness of the meaning and function of information labels.
