V první části bakalářské práce je popsána historie porodnictví ve světě a u nás společně s vývojem profesních kompetencí porodních asistentek od nejstarší historie až po současnost. Druhá část práce zjišťuje, jak se vyvíjelo porodnictví v Plzeňském kraji a porovnává historii se současnou situací. The first section of this bachelor thesis describes history of obstetrics in the Word and in the Czech Republic along with the development of professional competences of midwives from earliest history until today.The second part of the thesis investigates how was developing the midwifery in the Region of Pilsen and compares with the current situation.
