Theoretical study of fragmental dynamics of ionic clusters

Abstract:

V práci je za pomoci počítačových simulací teoreticky studována stabilita iontových klastrů vzácných plynů různých velikostí po náhlé ionizaci. Pro popis dynamiky systému částic jsou využity programy založené na hemikvantové dynamice; pro popis interakcí v klastru je použita metoda diatomics-in-molecules (DIM), která je dále zpřesněna o spin-orbitální interakci. Fragmentace klastrů byla studována pomocí nové metody, tzv. Quenchingu, která odstraní nedostatky předchozí metody - MeanField (zejména neceločíselné náboje). Práce se zabývá závislostí výsledků na parametrech a srovnáním výsledků pro různé interakční modely metody Quenchingu. Dále bude uvedeno srovnání různých variant metody Quenchingu s rozšířenými možnostmi nastavení. Srovnány budou také různé modely metod Quenchingu a MeanField s daty získanými reálným experimentem.

Abstract:

A theoretical study of rare gas ionic cluster stability is presented in this work. The study is done by computer simulations of clusters of different sizes after sudden ionization. Model of semi-quantum dynamics is used to describe dynamics of atoms. Interactions in clusters are computed by the Diatomics-in-molecules method with explicitly included spin-orbit interaction. A new method called Quenching is used to model cluster fragmentation. This method ought to remedy main drawbacks of MeanField method - partial charges in final results. The work is concerned with results dependence on algorithm parameteres and with comparison of results obtained by different interaction models used in the Quenching method. Comparison of different variants of the Quenching method with extended custom parameteres is presented in this work. Quenching methods results and MeanField methods results are also compared with experimental data.
