Ethics in the work of John Stuart Mill
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá pojetím etiky v dílech J. S. Milla. Přibližuje epikureismus a stoicismus jako určité vzory Millova utilitaristického myšlení. Dále se zabývá vztahem utilitarismu a liberalismu v Millově díle a jeho snahou o určité spojení těchto směrů.V závěru se snaží přiblížit Millův odkaz současnosti.
Abstract:
This study is written to provide a concise view of the concept of ethics in the works of JS Mill. In the beginning of this work Epicureanism and stoicism are considered as influential contribution of Mill?s utilitarian way of thinking.
