The paper deals with development of the German Dance Theatre and life and work of German choreographer and dancer Pina Bausch between the years 1940 and 1976. First part of this work is about the context of Dance Theatre in modern dancing of first half of 20th century. Second part is biografy of the Pina Blausch.
