Czech brass Music and its uses in the pedagogic process

Abstract:

Disertacní práce s názvem Ceská dechovka a její využití v pedagogickém procesu se soustreduje na dechovou hudbu a dechovku. Zameruje se na vysvetlení techto termínu a popisuje historický vývoj obou žánru. Kapitola o nástrojovém obsazení dechovky reší funkce jednotlivých hudebních nástroju, jejich ladení, zápis v partiture a specifika formací dechových kapel. Disertacní práce dále popisuje vývoj repertoáru dechových kapel a na základe srovnání notových titulu vybraného hudebního vydavatelství i repertoáru a vydaných zvukových nosicu dvou kapel poukazuje na jeho stežejní složky. Tem se pak venuje podrobneji, když zkoumá historický vývoj a typickou formu polky, valcíku a pochodu a lidovky. Práci uzavírají teoretické návrhy, jak s dechovkou ci dechovou hudbou pracovat v pedagogickém procesu.

Abstract:

The dissertation on Czech brass music and its uses in the pedagogical process deals with numerous aspects of wind and brass music. It covers the definition of the expressions 'wind music' and 'brass music' in concrete terms, and goes on to describe the historical development of the two. The issue of instrumentation in a brass band is an integral part of the dissertation. The author observes the function of individual instruments, their parts, and the way in which they are each included in the musical score. Also mentioned are specific points on the formation of a brass band. A whole chapter is dedicated to the question of the repertoire of brass music. The development of this repertoire is described, as well as its common components, namely polka, waltz and march. These three genres are explained in more detail. Another part of this work concerns the issue of folk music. The final chapter comprises theoretical suggestions on how to apply wind and brass music in the pedagogical process.
