Study of combustion of perpendicular laid nonwovens adjusted with water glass

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je studium hoření kolmo kladených netkaných textilií upravených vodním sklem. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí a to úvodu, teoretické části, experimentální části a závěru. Teoretická část obsahuje informace o vodním skle, povrchovém napětí a mechanické výrobě netkaných textilií. Dále je zde uvedena rešerše vybraných metod testování hoření textilií. V experimentální části jsou popsány jednotlivé testy a jejich logická návaznost. Je zde popsán průběh experimentu, který obsahuje měření úhlu smáčení vodních skel, úpravu povrchového napětí vodního skla, výrobu netkané textilie, volbu vhodného typu vodních skel a testy hoření, dále mechanické namáhání textilie stlačením a obrazovou analýza s použitím opticky zjasňujícího prostředku. V experimentální části jsou vyhodnoceny výsledky, z nichž plyne, že aplikace vodního skla jako retardantu hoření je proveditelná. Nakonec jsou zde navrženy postupy pro další řešení dané problematiky.

Abstract:

Subject of this bachelor thesis is study of combustion of perpendicular laid nonwoven textiles adjusted with water glass. The thesis is divided into four parts, namely the introduction, the theoretical part, experimental part and conclusion. The theoretical part includes informations about water glass, surface tansion and mechanical nonwoven textiles. Moreover there is mentioned search of flamability testing methodts. In the experimental part, there are described individual tests and also their logical continuity. There is described the process of the experiments, namely contact angle test, adjustment of surface tension, production of nonwoven textile, choice of suitable type of water glass and flamability tests. There are also described mechanical stress of nonwovens by compression and pictorial analysis with use of optically brightener agent. In experimental part the results are evaluated. The results shows the aplication of water glass as flame retardant agent is feasible. In conclusion, the possible procedures for further solutions are designed.
