Antisemitism and pogroms in Moravia - the Holešov reflection

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Antisemitismus a pogromy na Moravě - Holešovská reflexe se zaměřuje na problematiku holešovských pogromů a jejich současnou reflexi. Hlavním cílem práce je podat správnou historickou interpretaci těchto násilností a vytvořit komplexní syntézu jejich současné reflexe v oblastech zpředmětněné kultury a komunikativní paměti. První část je věnována antisemitské problematice, na kterou navazuje historický vývoj Židů v Českých zemích, jenž napomáhá lepšímu pochopení nutných historických souvislostí. Samotný průběh holešovských protižidovských bouří a jejich reflexe jsou obsaženy ve třetí a čtvrté části práce. Na ně pak navazuje předposlední část, ve které je zkoumáno, jaký prostor dává Rámcový vzdělávací program pro základní vzdělávání výuce regionální historie a antisemitské problematiky. Práce je následně završena krátkou subjektivní reflexí autora.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis Antisemitism and pogroms in Moravia - the Holešov reflection is focused on the issue of the Holešov pogroms and their current reflections. The main objective (intention) of the thesis is to give the proper historical interpretation of these violences and to form a complete synthesis of their current reflections in areas of objectified culture and communicative memory. The first part is focused on the issue of antisemitism, followed by the historical development of Jews in the Czech lands. This helps to grasp a better understanding of necessary historical context. The process of the Holešov antisemitic riots itself and the reflections are included in the third and fourth part of the thesis. This is then followed by a chapter where we explore what kind of space is provided by the General Educational Program for basic education of reginal history and antisemitic issues. The thesis is then concluded with a short subjective reflection by the author.
