Metric Properties of Expressible Sets

Abstract:

Thesis is devoted to expression of real numbers in the form $$\sum_{n=1}^\infty\frac{1}{a_nc_n}$$ where $\{a_n\}_{n=1}^\infty$ is a given sequence of numbers different from zero. Not all numbers can be expressed in the form (1). The set of all numbers expressible in the form (1), so called expressible set, is complicated and depends on the sequence $\{a_n\}_{n=1}^\infty$. Thesis contains bounds for Lebesgue measure of expressible set of geometric sequence $\{A^n\}_{n=1}^\infty$ and their asymptotic behaviour for $A\to\infty$. Thesis also deals with the set of all numbers for which the sequence $\{c_n\}_{n=1}^\infty$ is bounded. Upper bounds for Hausdorff dimension of that set are presented.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vyjádřováním reálných čísel ve tvaru $$\sum_{n=1}^\infty\frac{1}{a_nc_n}$$ kde $\{a_n\}_{n=1}^\infty$ je daná posloupnost čísel různých od nuly. Ne každé číslo je možné ve tvaru (1) vyjádřit. Množina čísel vyjádřitelných ve tvaru (1), tzv. vyjádřitelná množina, je komplikovaná a závisí na posloupnosti $\{a_n\}_{n=1}^\infty$. Práce obsahuje odhady Lebesgueovy míry vyjádřitelné množiny geometrické posloupnosti $\{A^n\}_{n=1}^\infty$ a jejich asymptotické chování pro $A\to\infty$. Dále práce zkoumá množinu těch čísel z vyjádřitelné množiny, pro které je posloupnost $\{c_n\}_{n=1}^\infty$ omezená. Jsou uvedeny horní odhady pro Hausdorffovu dimenzi této množiny.
