The position of women in leadership positions in the financial administration of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat a analyzovat, jak na tom jsou ženy ve vedoucích pozicích ve Finanční správě v České republice a odpovědět na výzkumné otázky. Teoretická část práce ukazuje postavení žen na pracovním trhu v ČR i v Evropské Unii. Dále jsou nastíněny bariéry, které ženám brání při vstupu na pracovní trh. Důležité jsou také opatření ze strany státu či společností. Součástí je i popsána struktura Finanční správy. Dále je zmíněna studie provedená právě Finanční správou. V závěru byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum zaměřený na zastoupení žen ve vedoucích pozicích a ve vybraných krajích ČR. Praktická část se zaměřuje na kvalitativní analýzu rozhovorů se ženami ve vedoucích pozicích ve Finanční správě v České republice. Pomocí malého cíleného vzorku vedoucích žen, byly zodpovězeny výzkumné otázky a na jejich základě byl představen prvotní vhled do Finanční správy. Jedná se o malou sondu, tudíž výsledky získané z výzkumu nelze generalizovat na celou Finanční správu v České republice.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe and analyze, how women are in leadership positions in the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic and to answer research questions. The theoretical part of the thesis shows the position of women in labor market in Czech Republic and European Union. Furthermore, the thesis focus on barriers that prevent women to enter the market. Other issues are state measures or society. A part of the thesis is description structure of Financial Administration, as well as a study that was conducted by Financial Administration. In conclusion, a quantitative research was conducted, which shows the representation of women in leadership in selected regions of the Czech Republic. Measures by the state or companies are also important. A description of the Financial Administration is also included. The study carried out by the Financial Administration is also mentioned. In the end, a quantitative research focused on the representation of women in leading positions and in selected regions of the Czech Republic was carried out.
