Abstract:

Tato práce nabízí pohled na díla čtyř autorů z oborů estetiky, neurologie a evoluční psychologie. Jakým způsobem se jejich pohled na vznik a vývoj umělecké dovednosti liší? Jak chápat hodnotu, kterou má umělecká dovednost pro život člověka a jeho genezi? Nejenže budeme hledat odpovědi na tyto a další otázky, ale nabídneme i jiný pohled na umění, které bychom neměli podmiňovat pouze biologicky – tedy na základě jeho evoluční výhodnosti. Výzkumy v oblasti neurologie nám postupně poodhalují podstatu estetické libosti a estetické zkušenosti. Je otázkou, zda budou tyto nové teorie schopny přinést smysluplné a celistvé vysvětlení estetického hodnocení a toho, co je krása a proč je pro nás tak důležitá.

Abstract:

What does the art mean? Many aestheticians have failed to answer this question. Now they are trying to look at art from a different point, in this case from the perspective of evolutionary psychology and neurobiology. Is art an evolutionary advantage? In this thesis we present work of four authors dealing with this problem. We also try to show an artistic ability as a behaviour that is not conditioned only by our biology. Moreover we strive to find out what happens in a brain when we look at something beautiful and does it indicate and demonstrate what we know about the anthropogenesis? Both neuroaesthetics and evolutionary psychology try to reveal the nature of artistic ability. The question is whether they are capable to uncover the meaning of art.
