Factors affecting customer behavior in gastronomy

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of factors influencing the behavior of consumers in gastronomy, with a special focus on families with children during their visits to restaurants. The aim of the work was to identify and describe the most common factors that influence the behavior of this target group of consumers, and to propose recommendations for catering establishments to make the achievement of corporate goals more effective in relation to these factors in the decision-making process. As part of the quantitative research carried out in the form of a questionnaire, the key factors influencing the decision-making of families with children when choosing a restaurant were identified. The quality of the food, the professional attitude of the staff and the presence of elements aimed at children were found to be key determinants that influence their visit to the restaurant. The results of this work can be useful for catering establishments to better understand the needs and preferences of families with children and thus be able to adapt their services and environment more effectively in order to improve overall customer satisfaction and achieve business goals.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá analýzou faktorov ovplyvňujúcich správanie spotrebiteľov v gastronómii, s osobitným zameraním na rodiny s deťmi počas ich návštev v reštauráciách. Cieľom práce bolo identifikovať a opísať najčastejšie faktory, ktoré ovplyvňujú správanie tejto cieľovej skupiny spotrebiteľov, a navrhnúť odporúčania pre gastronomické zariadenia na zefektívnenie dosahovania podnikových cieľov v súvislosti s týmito faktormi v procese rozhodovania. V rámci kvantitatívneho výskumu realizovaného formou dotazníka boli identifikované kľúčové faktory ovplyvňujúce rozhodovanie rodín s deťmi pri výbere reštaurácie. Zistilo sa, že kvalita jedla, profesionálny prístup personálu a prítomnosť prvkov zameraných na deti sú kľúčovými determinantmi, ktoré ovplyvňujú ich návštevu reštaurácie. Výsledky tejto práce môžu byť užitočné pre gastronomické zariadenia, aby lepšie porozumeli potrebám a preferenciám rodín s deťmi a mohli tak efektívnejšie prispôsobiť svoje služby a prostredie s cieľom zlepšiť celkovú zákaznícku spokojnosť a dosahovať podnikové ciele.
