Cybernetic means of promoting the interests of foreign powers in European Union

Abstract:

Diplomová práce analyzuje prosazování zájmů cizích mocností kybernetickými nástroji v komunikačním prostoru Evropské unie podle zvolených kritérií. Výzkum je proveden metodou zakotvené teorie a teoretická část práce vychází z deskripce kybernetické a informační domény se zaměřením na analýzu dosavadní geneze chápání konceptů informačního ovlivňování, hybridního válčení a kybernetické hrozby. Aplikační část mapuje způsoby a metody prosazování zájmů cizích mocností v prostoru globální sítě ve vybraných zemích Evropské unie. Hlavním plánovaným výstupem je ověření hypotézy, že cizí mocnosti prosazují své zájmy v zacílené členské zemi Evropské unie prostřednictvím internetové komunikace především formou manipulace veřejného mínění a skupinové polarizace občanské společnosti.

Abstract:

The thesis analyses the promotion of interests of foreign powers by cybernetic tools in the communication space of the European Union according to selected criteria. The research is carried out by means of grounded theory and the theoretical part of the work is based on the description of cyber and information domain with a focus on the analysis of the current genesis of understanding the concepts of information influence, hybrid warfare and cyber threat. The application part maps the ways and methods of promoting the interests of foreign powers in the space of the global network in selected countries of the European Union. The main intended outcome is to verify the hypothesis that foreign powers assert their interests in the targeted EU Member State through internet communication, primarily through manipulation of public opinion and group polarization of civil society.
