"The Great Terror" - Political Repressions in the Soviet Union in 1936 - 1939
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá událostmi a procesy v Sovětském svazu v období tzv. Velkého teroru, tedy v letech 1936 - 1939. Cílem je potvrdit či vyvrátit, zda toto období lze klasifikovat jako represivní terorismus. První část se zabývá definicemi terorismu a další část se práce zaměřuje na klíčové osobnosti a zlomové události, které jsou konfrontovány s definicemi represivního terorismu.
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis is concerned with events and processes in Soviet Union in the Great Terror era, 1936 – 1939. The aim of this thesis is to confirm or refute whether this period was an act of repressive terrorism. The first part of the text deals with definitions of terrorism and the next part focuses on important prominents and events, which are confronted with definitions of repressive terrorism …more
