The Polish migrant literature in Germany and its features in a novel "Wodka und Messer. Das Lied vom Ertrinken." by Artur Becker

Abstract:

The thesis aim is to analyse the novel "Wodka und Messer. Das Lied vom Ertrinken." by the contemporary author Arthur Becker and to put him in the Polish migration literature in Germany. The theoretical part will focus on the migration literature and its characteristics in general and in its framework will be formulated specifics of Polish migration literature. Within this context will be included literary activity of Arthur Becker. In the analytical part will be analyzed Becker's work "Wodka und Messer. Das Lied vom Ertrinken." in the context of Polish migration literature in Germany The analysis of that work will focus on the characteristics of migration literature, respectively intercultural literature in order to find the specific features of Polish migration literature. In the final section, following an assessment of the results provided by the Polish migration literature is not very different from the migration literature of other countries. The common features include motifs, themes and formal side. However, there are characters that are not in any other migration literatures to find. These signs include the duality of the Polish exile and greater degree of reticence towards writing in a foreign language. In an analysis of the novel were found more specificity - relationship to the dead and rendering of the dead.

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analýza díla "Wodka und Messer. Das Lied vom Ertrinken." od současného autora Artura Beckera a jeho zařazení mezi polskou migrační literaturu v Německu. Úvodní teoretická část se zaměří na migrační literaturu a její znaky v obecné rovině a v jejím rámci budou formulována specifika polské migrační literatury. Do tohoto kontextu bude zařazena literární činnost Artura Beckera. V analytické části bude proveden rozbor Beckerova díla "Wodka und Messer. Das Lied vom Ertrinken." v kontextu polské migrační literatury v Německu. Při analýze zmíněného díla bude kladen důraz na znaky migrační literatury, popř. interkulturní literatury s cílem nalézt specifické rysy polské migrační literatury. V závěrečné části je po zhodnocení výsledků stanoveno, že polská migrační literatura se příliš neliší od migračních literatur jiných zemí. Ke společným znakům patří motivy, témata a formální stránka. Existují ovšem znaky, které nejsou v žádných jiných migračních literaturách k nalezení. K těmto znakům patří dualita polského exilu a větší míra zdrženlivosti vůči psaní v cizím jazyce. V rámci analýzy románu bylo nalezeno další specifikum vztah k mrtvým a ztvárnění mrtvých.
