Political Business Cycle in the Czech Republic since 1990 to 2010

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zjistit vývoj hospodářského a politického cyklu v České republice v období 1990-2010, zda byly tyto cykly v souladu či nesouladu. První část je věnována teoretickému vymezení hospodářského a politického cyklu, jejich souladu a nesouladu. Druhá část zahrnuje ekonomickou a politickou situaci v ČR v letech 1990-2010. Třetí kapitola obsahuje kvantitativní výzkum vývoje hospodářského a politického cyklu ČR v letech 1990-2010. Užitými metodami výzkumu jsou analýza dat hlavních makroekonomických ukazatelů HDP, inflace a nezaměstnanosti, korelační analýza vztahu inflace a nezaměstnanosti, Phillipsova křivka ČR a její sestrojení v krátkém i dlouhém období. Výzkum poukázal na specifické podmínky vývoje politického cyklu v ČR 1990-2010 neodpovídající teoretickým předpokladům.

Abstract:

The aim of the work is to find out the development of the economic and political cycle in the Czech Republic in the period 1990-2010, whether these cycles were in accordance or inconsistency. The first part is devoted to the theoretical definition of the economic and political cycle, their coherence and inconsistency. The second part includes the economic and political situation in the Czech Republic in the years 1990-2010. The third chapter contains quantitative research of the development of the economic and political cycle of the Czech Republic in the years 1990-2010. The research methods used are data analysis of the main macroeconomic indicators of GDP, inflation and unemployment, correlation analysis of the relationship between inflation and unemployment, Phillips curve of the Czech Republic and its construction in the short and long term. The research pointed out the specific conditions of the development of the political cycle in the Czech Republic 1990-2010, which did not correspond to the theoretical assumptions.
