Consociational Democracy in Lebanon - Application and Limits
Abstract:
Práca sa zaoberá implementáciou konsociačných mechanizmov v Libanone počas obdobia od zisku nezávislosti 1943 až po vypuknutie občianskej vojny 1975. Práca tiež skúma vplyv konsocializmu na vypuknutie vojny a nakoniec sa snaží o zhodnotenie návratu ku konsocializmu v deväťdesiatych rokoch. Konsociačná demokracia je v práci chápaná tak, ako ju definoval Arend Lijphart.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with implementation of consociational mechanisms in Lebanon in period from 1943 to the outbreak of the civil war in 1975. Thesis also analyzes influence of consocialism on outbreak of the war. Finally, it tries to examine the reinstatement of consocialism in the nineties. Consociational democracy is applied in the thesis as defined by Arend Lijphart.
