Comparison of statutory towns in the region NUTS 2 Northwest

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na porovnání statutárních měst v Regionu NUTS 2 Severozápad. Toto téma jsem si zvolila proto, že ve statutárním městě žiji již od narození. Cílem této práce je prezentace jednotlivých statutárních měst nacházejících se v již zmiňovaném regionu a jejich následná komparace dle vybraných hledisek, které lze považovat pro fungování místní samosprávy za významné. K tomuto srovnání jsou využity údaje čerpané z dokumentů Českého statistického úřadu a také informace z oficiálních webových stránek těchto měst. Pro přehlednější porovnání je zde doplněno i grafické zpracování údajů. Zajímavým doplňkem informací je též řízený strukturovaný rozhovor se starostkou jediné městské části v regionu – městské části Neštěmice statutárního města Ústí nad Labem. Tato bakalářská práce by mohla být též skromným příspěvkem pro projekt zaměřený na statutární města České republiky, jehož řešitelem je Katedra správního práva a veřejné správy Vysoké školy finanční a správní.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on comparison of statutory cities in the NUTS 2 Northwest Region.I chose this topic because I have been living in a statutory city since birth. The aim of the thesis is to present individual statutory cities located in the above mentioned area and to compare them according to selected aspects which can be considered important for the functioning of local self-government. The comparison uses data drawn from the Czech Statistical Office documents as well as information from the official websites of the described cities. For visual comparison, graphical data processing is also included. A structured interview with the mayor of the only town district in the region, Neštěmice, of the statutory town Ústí nad Labem, is also included. This bachelor thesis could also be a modest contribution to a project focused on the statutory cities of the Czech Republic, which is being solved by the Department of Administrative Law and Public Administration of the University of Finance and Administration.
