Tracking the changes of the landscape of Ivančice and its surroundings in selected paintings by local artists

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá prostřednictvím maleb, kreseb a fotografií proměny krajiny Ivančicka a blízkého okolí převážně za posledních 150 let. Zaměřuje se zejména na území v blízkosti řek Jihlavy, Oslavy a Rokytné, které popisuje z historického a přírodovědeckého hlediska. Z obrazů a fotografií lze sledovat některé tendence ve využívání poříčí, a tedy dopady na jejich podobu i estetiku. Údolí těchto tří řek ve své tvorbě ztvárnilo mnoho umělců - například malíři Jakub Svoboda, Jiří Dvořák a Antonín Kašpárek nebo fotograf Ondřej Knoll. Bakalářská práce vysvětluje charakteristický styl tvorby vybraných umělců. Tato díla dále zařazuje do širšího kontextu české i světové krajinomalby. Výsledky dokumentace změn krajiny Ivančicka jsou porovnány s projektem "Podpora turistického ruchu vcházením do krajinomalby a fotografie", který se zabývá podobnou problematikou jako bakalářská práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis explores the changes of the landscape of Ivančice and its surroundings for the last 150 years using paintings, drawings and photographs. The work focuses mainly on the area near the rivers Jihlava, Oslava and Rokytná, which are described from the historical and natural point of view. From the paintings and photographs we can observe some tendencies in the use of the riverside and thus the impact on their form and aesthetics. Many artists have depicted the valley of these three rivers in their works - for example the painters Jakub Svoboda, Jiří Dvořák and Antonín Kašpárek or the photographer Ondřej Knoll. The bachelor thesis explains the characteristic style of the selected artists. The work further places these works in the broader context of Czech and world landscape painting. The results of the documentation of landscape changes in the Ivančice region are compared with project "Promoting tourism by entering into landscape painting and photography" dealing with similar issues as the bachelor thesis.
