LCC in Czech Republic and current competitive situation on the LCC market

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou nízkonákladových leteckých dopravců, jejich vývojem a současnou situací. Transformací z ortodoxně LCC business modelů do modelů, které kombinují jak prvky LCC, tak prvky klasických dopravců. Práce popisuje LCC, které se pohybují na Letišti Václava Havla a také jakým způsobem se tyto společnosti snaží diferenciovat od ostatních. V praktické části je veden dotazník s cílem navrhnout možné způsoby, jak mohou nízkonákladoví dopravci oslovit české zákazníky, na co by se měly primárně zaměřit a také na otázku brand loyalty. Zároveň, zda něco takového u LCC vůbec existuje.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is dealing with LCC, their development and current situation, also with the transformation of the core LCC business model into new business model, that combines features of LCC and traditional carriers. There are listed all the LCC that can be found at Prague Airport, they are briefly described and the way, how they try to differentiate from other carriers. In the last part, there is a survey and the results of this survey. The survey aims to give an advice to LCC how to attract Czech customers, what is the main deciding feature for them and on what they should focus. Bachelor thesis tries to solve if there is something as brand loyalty in LCC market.
