Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl vysledovat a shrnout tvorbu filmových plakátů Jiřího Balcara, významného českého malíře a grafika. Nevytvořil jich mnoho, přesto dokázal získat významná ocenění. Dnes je řazen mezi nejznámější tvůrce plakátu šedesátých let. Balcarovy plakáty jsou uvedeny do souvislosti s jeho ostatní tvorbou a zařazeny do kontextu soudobé české plakátové produkce. Abstract:
The diploma thesis aims to discover and summarize movie poster production of Jiří Balcar, important czech painter and grapfic designer. He achieved significant awards in spite of small number of executed posters. Nowadays he is considerated to be one of the best known czech movie poster author of the Sixties.
