Priorities of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union and their real fullfilment

Abstract:

Španělsko se ujalo úlohy předsedajícího státu Rady Evropské unie v první polovině roku 2010 ve velmi složité situaci. Stalo se totiž prvním státem ve vedení po přijetí Lisabonské smlouvy a navíc v době, kdy Evropu sužovala hospodářská a ekonomická krize. Jako hlavní cíl si proto stanovilo naplňování Lisabonské smlouvy. Za další priority si země vybrala obnovu hospodářství a vytváření nových pracovních míst, důraz na občany a posílení vlivu Evropské unie na mezinárodní scéně. Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza skutečně dosažených výsledků v oblasti deklarovaných priorit španělského předsednictví.

Abstract:

Spain held the post of presidency of Council of the European Union in the first half of 2010 in a really complicated situation. It was the first country in presidency after adopting Treaty of Lisbon and moreover in a time when Europe was suffering from economic crisis. As the main goal was set fullfilment of Treaty of Lisbon. As other priorities were chosen economic recovery and creating new job vacancies, emphasis on the citizens and strenghtening the EU´s role on the international scene. The aim of this bachelor thesis is analysis of the real achievements in the context of the declared priorities of Spanish presidency.
