Abstract:
Práce se zabývá historií Věznice Mírov po roce 1989 a vězeňstvím v České republice. Popisuje rozvoj a charakteristiku českého vězeňství, práva a povinnosti odsouzených a také výhled do budoucnosti. Popisuje historii Mírova od událostí roku 1989 až po současnost, aktivity odsouzených a průběh trestu odnětí svobody.

The work deals with the history of Prison Mírov after year 1989 and prison service in Czech Republic. It describes development and characteristic of Czech prison service, discretions and duties of the condemned and also perspective on the future.
