Abstract:

V teoretickej časti mojej bakalárskej práce sa zaoberám projektom Obey Giant sticker campaign, ktorý sa stal fenoménom dnešného svetového street artu. Snažím sa zachytiť a zmapovať životopis autora?Sheparda Faireyho a zároveň sa snažím pochopiť a vysvetliť aj hlavnú myšlienku tohto fenomenálneho projektu . Pomocou základných princípov fenomenológie a hlavných myšlienok Sheparda Faireyho zakladám vlastný projekt Mutagen. Pod titulom STATUS: Vývoj (mutagén) vytváram praktickú časť mojej práce. Slová Mutagén a Mutácia sa stali metafórou tohoto projektu, ktorý sa zaoberá všetkými druhmi vizuálnej komunikácie ? hlavne ilustráciou. Projekt Mutagen opisuje rôzne druhy fyzikálnych a psychických mutácií človeka a zároveň skúma morálne a charakterové atribúty civilizácie alebo jeho samotnej individuality. Mutagen vyobrazuje pocity a nálady umelca a zároveň sa snaží prinútiť diváka porovnávať ich so svojimi. Projekt sa snaží aj o prepojenie sociálnych, morálnych a vývojových aspektov s vyjadrením umelca.

Abstract:

My thesis deals with the project Obey Giant sticker campaign, which became phenomenon of the world's street art. I tried to capture and map the biography of the author of this project ? Shepard Fairey and also I was trying to understand and explain the main idea. Using the basic principles of phenomenology and the main ideas of Shepard Fairey, I have created project Mutagen. The name of my practical part of my thesis is STATUS: Progress (mutagen). The words Mutagen and Mutation become a metaphor for the project about all kinds of visual communication ? especially illustration. The project Mutagen depicts different kinds of physical or mental mutation of a human, and simultaneously explores moral and character attributes of civilization or an individual. Mutagen shows emotions and moods of an artist and attempts to compare them with the observer. The project tries to connect the social, moral and evolutionary aspects with the artistic expression.
