Reception aesthetics in Slavnosti sněženek and Příliš hlučná samota

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Recepční estetika ve Slavnostech sněženek a Příliš hlučné samotě“ se zabývá tématem recepční estetiky Wolfganga Isera a jejím užitím v praxi. V první části práce je definována recepční estetika, dále předkládá výklad některých hlavních pojmů Iserovy teorie, především její stěžejní část – koncept nedourčenosti. Tato estetika se zaměřuje na významové nedourčenosti textu, na kterých je založeno působení textu na čtenáře a poukazuje na dynamičnost komunikace. Přibližuje pojem „horizont očekávání“ a také přístup Hanse Roberta Jausse, jednoho ze spoluzakladatelů recepční estetiky. Druhá část práce popisuje definované pojmy v praxi. Na dva texty Bohumila Hrabala, totiž Slavnosti sněženek a Příliš hlučnou samotu, je aplikována Iserova teorie estetického účinku. Prověření této teorie v praxi ukazuje, že Iser dává interpretovi konkrétní interpretační pojmové „nástroje“, svého druhu návody, jak o literatuře mluvit, jak ji kritizovat, jak jí porozumět.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis „Recepční estetika ve Slavnostech sněženek a Příliš hlučné samotě“ is interested in a topic of the receptionist aesthetics of Wolfgang Isler and its practical usage. The first part of the thesis is about a definition of receptionist aesthetics, then the thesis reviews main concepts of Iser´s theory – mostly its crucial part – the concept of places of indeterminacy. This aesthetics is focused on sensual places of indeterminacy in text, on which are based the effects on a reader and refers to dynamics of its communication. This part of text introduces a concept of the horizon of expectations and concept of Hans Robert Jauss, who is one of co-founders of the reception aesthetics. The second part of the thesis describes defined terms in practice. Iser´s theory of aesthetic response was applied to two texts of Bohumil Hrabal - Slavnosti sněženek and Příliš hlučná samota. Application of this theory in practise shows that Iser provides specific interpretative tools to an interpreter – instructions how to talk about literature, how to critize and how to understand.
