Bakterie si během evoluce vyvinuly množství mechanismů, díky nimž odolávají útokům bakteriofágů. Jedním z nich je proces abortivní infekce, který je charakteristický normálním počátkem fágové infekce, avšak na rozdíl od ostatních typů obranných systémů zde nedochází k rozvoji lyze. Abstract:
During the evolution bacteria have evolved many mechanisms that allowed them to resist to bacteriophage infection. One of the mecha-nisms is the process of abortive infection, which is characteristic with normal start of phage infection but contrast to other defence mecha-nisms there is no lysis observed.
