Abstract:
The Bachelor´s thesis is concerned with the comparison of the passive voice in English and Czech on the basis of particular examples from the selected texts and, in addition, with the ways of translation of the English passive into Czech. Bakalářská práce se zabývá porovnáním trpného rodu v anglickém a českém jazyce na základě konkrétních příkladů z vybraných textů a také způsoby překladu anglického trpného rodu do češtiny. Pro analýzu byly vybrány dva anglické texty a jejich překlady. První text byl vybrán z knihy Pýcha a předsudek od Jane Austenové a druhý z knihy Podivuhodný případ dr.
