Spa turism and its impact on regional development

Abstract:

Diplomová práce si klade za úkol analyzovat vztah mezi lázeňským cestovním ruchem a rozvojem příslušného regionu. Práce se v teoretické části zabývá teorií lázeňského cestovního ruchu, jeho významem a historií. Odkrývá nedostatky současného stavu lázeňství v České republice a dotýká se aktuálních problémů lázeňství, řízeného Ministerstvem zdravotnictví a Zdravotními pojišťovnami. Uvádí nové trendy v lázeňském cestovním ruchu i aktuální opatření vlády České republiky ke stabilizaci a rozvoji lázeňství. V praktické části se diplomová práce zaměřuje již na konkrétní lázeňské zařízení, Státní léčebné lázně Janské Lázně a na region Východních Krkonoš, a hodnotí význam a rozsah vzájemné spolupráce obcí a lázní z hlediska přínosu a rozvoje lázeňského cestovního ruchu na turistickou oblast Východních Krkonoš.

Abstract:

This dissertation aims to analyze the relationship between the spa tourism and the development of the relevant region. The theoretical part contains theory of spa tourism , its meaning and history. It reveals the shortcomings of the current state of spas in the Czech republic and touches on current spa issues managed by the Ministry of Health and health insurance companies. It presents new trends in the spa tourism and the current measures of government of the Czech Republic to the stabilization and development of the spa industry. The practical part of the thesis focuses on a specific spa facilities, State Health Spa Janské lázně and the region of Eastern Giant Mountains, and it evaluates the importance and the impact of mutual cooperation of villages and spas from the aspect of benefit and the development of spa tourism on the turistic region of Eastern Giant Mountains.
