Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem ?Medailon Josefa Maštálka? představuje osobnost českého pohraničí, pedagoga, inspektora českých státních škol, předsedu Národní jednoty severočeské, organizátora vlastivědného bádání, budovatele muzea a v neposlední řadě obětavého pracovníka Společnosti přátel Lužice. Zájem o problematiku Lužických Srbů je ve vlastní pozůstalosti doložen v malém měřítku, přesto ukazuje na nesmírné osobní zaujetí problémy tohoto nejmenšího slovanského národa. Josef Maštálko se v prvé řadě snažil naplnit ideál českého kantora. Svou vytrvalou a příkladnou prací chtěl působit nejen na mládež, ale i na generaci rodičů. Hlavní jeho snahou bylo vytvářet z učitelů příkladné osobnosti pro národní život, což v praxi znamenalo jejich zapojení do veřejné a výchovné práce. Prostředkem k růstu sebeuvědomění českých učitelů měla být jejich osvětová práce, zahrnující spolupráci s časopisem Bezděz i práci pro muzejní spolek. Společně s přispěvateli časopisu se mu podařilo shromáždit téměř dva tisíce stran textu původních pojednání o dějinách, kultuře i přírodě českolipského kraje.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis called ?The Portrait of Josef Maštálko? introduce person of czech border, pedagogue, inspector of czech public schools, chairman of The North Czech National Unit, organizer of homeland research, founder of museum and last but not least dedicated worker friends of Lužice community. The interest of Lusatian Sorbs problematics is in own estate documented in small scale, in spite of immense personal interest of these smallest slavic nation. In first line Josef Maštálko tried to fill the idea of czech cantor. By his persistent and exemplary work he wanted to impress not only to youths but on generation of parents too. The primary effort was creating the exemplary persons from teachers for national life which is in practice mean their involvement into public and educated work. The instrument to increase self-awareness of czech teachers were educational work including their cooperation with magazine Bezděz even work in museum association. Together with contributors of that magazine he managed almost two thousands pages of text which is original treatise about history, culture and nature of Českolipský kraj.
