This bachelor thesis focuses on an analysis of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). First, the two core approaches to international trade – liberalism and protectionism – are analyzed. Then, the text focuses on the EU´s common trade policy, its objectives, principles, and instruments. The main part of the thesis deals with the analysis of EPA.
