Organized Crime in Dunajská Streda

Abstract:

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to present the organized crime situated in the slovak region of Dunajská Streda. The structure of the thesis reflects the theoretical definition and division of the characteristics presented by foreign authors. As the content of the first part I present the theoretical definition and division of the organized crime and concrete methodological troubles with the observation of the organized crime in the region of Dunajská Streda. The following chapter dissertates about reputation of the organized crime as the phenomenom in Slovakia and about actors divided in the external and internal groups of actors. Other chapters describe the characteristics presented by Shaw in his text published in 2002 – the core topics are activities, international cooperation, structure, identity, largeness, political influence, coruption, impenetration into legal economics and brutality. On the ground of the findings I define the specific characteristics of the organized crime in Dunajská Streda. The summary includes the final reviewing and summarizes the thesis.

Abstract:

Cieľom bakalárskej práce je predstaviť organizovaný zločin situovaný v slovenskom regióne Dunajská Streda. Štruktúra práce odráža teoretickú definíciu a teoretické rozdelenie charakteristík predstavených zahraničnými autormi. Obsahom prvej kapitoly je teoretická definícia a delenie organizovaného zločinu v spojení s konkrétnymi metodologickými ťažkosťami výskumu organizovaného zločinu v Dunajskej Strede. Nasledujúca kapitola pojednáva o reputácii organizovaného zločinu ako fenoménu na Slovensku a o aktéroch rozdelených do skupín interných a externých aktérov. Ďalšie kapitoly opisujú a napĺňajú charakteristiky prezentované Shawom v jeho publikácii uverejnenej v roku 2002 – hlavnými témami sú aktivity, medzinárodná spolupráca, štruktúra, identita, veľkosť, politický vplyv, korupcia, prenikanie do legálnej ekonomiky a násilnosť. Na základe zistení definujem špecifické charakteristiky organizovaného zločinu v Dunajskej Strede. Záver zahŕňa konečné zhodnotenie a sumarizáciu práce.
