Phishing detector

Abstract:

Tématem práce je hrozba phishingu a možný způsob jeho detekce. Cílem této práce je návrh a realizace detekčního mechanismu, který dokáže ohodnotit HTML soubor a následně analyzovat jeho úspěšnost. V této práci je popsána problematika phishingu, jeho cílení a základní způsoby jeho rozpoznání. Dále jsou vypsána místa typická pro výskyt phishingu, případně zdroje pro jeho stažení. V následující kapitole jsou stažené vzorky podrobeny analýze. V praktické části se věnuji popisu a návrhu detekčního mechanismu. Tento mechanismus byl implementován pomocí jazyka Python. Na konci své práce se věnuji možnostem, jak navržený detekční mechanismus zlepšit.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis is the threat of phishing and possible way of its detection. The aim of this work is to design and implement a detection mechanism that could analyze HTML file and then assess its success. This work describes problem of phishing aim of phishing campaigns and basic ways of its recognition. Typical sources of phishing is described in further chapter. Downloaded samples are analysed and characteristics is defined for clean and phishing samples. Practical part is dedicated for description of detection mechanism. This mechanism is implemented in Python programing language. Some ideas of improvement of detection mechanisms are given in the end of thesis.
